Parametric Cost Estimation: Setting Up Cost Functions Based On Technical Parameters

CostFact’s regression module is particularly useful in the early phases of project cost estimates when detailed information about a ship’s components is not yet available. The costs of main and subordinate groups are forecast from previous projects via a statistical analysis of the costs and attributes from the corresponding calculation objects. The regression module is also used to generate cost indices for quick cost predictions.
